The nose hits with a rich candied peanuts aroma followed by a hint of honey and just a whiff of ethanol that fades away.
On the palate, the P’Nutty feels viscous providing a good mouthfeel. Flavor is mostly sugar and caramel with peanut playing a secondary role.
The finish is fairly long, with a bit of a burn on the way down to remind you that you are drinking whiskey, leaving a sweet aftertaste of honey and a touch of roasted peanuts.
Peanut butter is not the main flavor as you get more honey and caramel from it, yet offers a pleasing burn on the finish making it quite rewarding.
This is an easy drinker that can be enjoyed either neat or rocks.

On the palate, the Sheep Dog feels thin lacking in body. The first sip is overly sweet, with a very high corn syrup note, followed by caramel and just a bit of peanut butter flavor.
The finish is short, with more sweetness to it and a whiff of peanut butter.
Sheep Dog is a little too sweet for my taste as it becomes cloying after a few sips.
It’s rich in corn syrup and caramel flavors but lacks the promised peanut flavored note.
This is something I don’t recommend drinking neat or rocks unless you are fond of sweet-bombs, but can work in some peanut butter whiskey cocktails.
