Both Ardbeg and Longrow abstain from using artificial caramel coloring, and they are both non-chill-filtered releases.
The legality of caramel coloring in Scotch whisky doesn’t sit well with me, although it’s not a complete deal-breaker.
However, it’s a factor I always consider carefully when deciding where to invest my hard-earned money.
